After our visit to the British Museum today, where we were quite surprised by some of our finds, we walked past Covent Garden. It’s a great shopping district that is filled with street performers. We had a bite to eat, and as we continued on, Ted spotted a a guy with a guitar…. and a cat?
Ok, you’ve got my attention. What’s the act about? A few chords on the guitar, then…. a cat trick?
Yes, the cat gives a high-five!
Cute, and the cat seems to be very intelligent, going right along with this act. Examining the scene a bit closer, we notice a book that appears to resemble the likeness of the cat:
“A Street Cat Named Bob”… is this for real? Well, turns out it is. Some quick research, and we found out you can buy your copy on Amazon! Recently published book, described on Amazon:
When James Bowen found an injured, ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change. James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet.
Yet James couldn’t resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom he quickly christened Bob. He slowly nursed Bob back to health and then sent the cat on his way, imagining he would never see him again. But Bob had other ideas.
Soon the two were inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures would transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other’s troubled pasts.
A Street Cat Named Bob is a moving and uplifting story that will touch the heart of anyone who reads it.
Check out this short video on Bob! You just never know what you’ll find here in London!
